This post is a shameless review of our photographer Tobias Vogt.

I thought about the best way to talk about the wedding day, but I can’t without thanking the man who allows me to relive this wonderful day over and over again through his amazing work.

All the photos on this post are his (and if you are interested in working with him – which I highly suggest you do – I will share his link at the bottom).

Ok, so all of the photos are taken by him, except this one.

Tobi

My cousin took this photo while he was working and I think it’s great because it not only shows him in his element – but you can get an idea of that this guy has a lot of charisma and it’s part of what makes him good at his job (and also a blast to work with).

Tobias has a great eye and has managed to capture some amazing moments.  We had hired him for the whole day (a whopping 12 hours) and I am soooooooooooooooo glad we did because he took photos of things we (as the bridal couple) would have missed.

This was the “pre-wedding ceremony” champagne cocktail.  T thought that we should have this for our guests since the ceremony took place around lunch and our Americans (who were brought to the church by bus) were brought early and thus didn’t have time to eat.  Neither T nor I were allowed  because we had to get ready for the ceremony so I was happy to see these photos.

He did an amazing job with the church ceremony and managed to capture scenes that we could not see from where we stood at the church.

Here are just a few of my favorites:

We had organized a little photo shoot with Abner.  It was very important for me (if you are a follower of this blog – you already know this) that my pug be in some shots.  We didn’t want to bring him to the castle because there were too many people (which would stress him out) and we would have had to leave him in our room to keep him from being stressed (which would only have stressed him out anyway).  So we saved a small window of time to be able to capture Abner’s regalness.

Tobias had gone on ahead and met us at the castle.  From his vantage point, he was able to see the caravan of cars coming as well as capture our short reprieve before the rest of the guests arrived.

I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the “couple shoot” with Tobias (T also agrees with me here).  Tobias always aims for the most authentic shots of the couple (or any of his subjects).  There were times that I was trying to go for a sultry look but Tobias would start cracking me up with his silliness so that he could get a real smile out of me.

He also allowed me to really be myself – because honestly, I can’t always be serious….even on my wedding day!

As I had mentioned before, he was worth contracting through the night.  I wanted as memories as possible that wasn’t on a camera phone and he certainly delivered.

Tobias helped make the day memorable.  I have gone through the albums so many times and each time it brings a smile to my face.  I was so happy with everything that had transpired throughout the day and thanks for our amazing photographer, we have those memories forever.
