Today’s photo is from my UK trip back in 2011.  I had done a King Arthur Tour in order to see Stonehenge and the supposed site of what was once Avalon (Glastonbury). It was such a beautiful tour and if you’re ever in the UK I highly recommend you do this tour.

This photo is of the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey. It was once considered the equivalent of what is today Westminster Abbey until Henry VIII. Once the Abbott of Glastonbury did not want to submit to Henry’s claim to the “Church of England,” well…..this happened.

It is also said that King Arthur and Queen Guinevere’s remains were found in the ruins. Very cool.
