If there is one thing I hate, it’s coming off a ten hour flight feeling like I haven’t bathed in days. Unfortunately whenever I travel, I am usually off to meet friends, or family, or even the boyfriend. Of course I want to look my best. I am one of those people who prefer to travel comfortably but still look good. The goal is to have a small arsenal to allow you to freshen up before landing.
First, I don’t wear contacts on the plane. Sometimes I doze on the flight and I hate sleeping with them in. Also, my eyes get tired after wearing them for an extended period of time so there’s no use wasting it while I’m on a plane. But I have them ready to put in at the last minute.
I normally like a hot wet towel to wipe my face and hands at the end of a flight to freshen up. But honestly, where have those things been? I suggest you bring your own wash cloth in a plastic bag and have one of the flight attendants pour some hot water into the bag and BAM insta-hot towel! I personally use an anti-microbial wash cloth from Norwex that I bought off my friend April. It’s my go-to product when I’m feeling less than my best. If you’re interested let me know and I will send you her way.
If you don’t want to go that route, I have heard of another solution: get a pack of sugar and a lemon/lime wedge from the flight attendant and take it into the bathroom. Mix the two together to make a paste and use it to exfoliate your face!
Next you should use that little jar of coconut oil that you should carry with you. It can help calm down your hair and it makes a great moisturizer for both face and body. It also makes your hair uber soft!
Last but certainly not least (well….for me anyway) I put on my make-up. I work very hard to keep my face clean and clear so that I don’t need more than just some eyeliner and mascara.

Some other travel bloggers recommend a good shade of lipstick to really amp up the glam look. I’ve never been big on lipstick (mostly because my eyes are my moneymakers and I prefer to direct attention there). However, I do keep some tinted Burt’s Bees on hand.

So there you go! Within minutes you go from feeling gross to glamorous and ready to make your entrance at your new destination.
