So we are back to the conventional posts! This Friday, I chose to continue in my journey to the UK with this gorgeous photo of Castle Stalker.
Look familiar?
Well, for all you nerds out there, Castle Stalker was shot in the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. That’s right; it’s supposed to be the final resting place of the Holy Grail that King Arthur and Sir Bedevere discover near the end of the film. If you need further help, I have supplied a YouTube video.
Unfortunately, this is about as close as you can get to Castle Stalker. It’s privately owned so getting inside is a big ‘no.’ I believe there are a few times a year when that castle is open to the public but this was not one of those times. This was part of a mini road trip from Glasgow to Oban while I was going on my Three Island Tour.
If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by just to see it. It’s a must for any Monty Python fan 😀
