Learning Language – No Problem, You’re Welcome

This is a phrase T uses all the time. “No problem, you’re welcome.” Everytime I say thank you, this is his response.  I have always thought it was funny and he never understood why.  This is simply because in German, this is one of the things you can say to a ‘thank you.’

We Americans are always taught that you say ‘bitte schoen’ as you’re welcome.  This is correct but there is also another way to say it:

Kein Problem.  Gern Geschehen.
