Why Pumpkin Festivals are the Awesome

So yesterday, T and I joined his sister and family in Ludwigsburg to check out the local castle.  I have a soft spot for European castles so I was very excited about the trip 🙂

It’s a beauty:

IMG_6665 IMG_6667 IMG_6668 IMG_6670 IMG_6714Of course almost all the food was pumpkin themed.

Side note: pumpkin in German is Kürbis.

Of course we got some roasted pumpkin seed (with cinnamon and sugar) as well as a pumpkin wine (which we have yet to try)

Märchen in German is fairy tale.  Throughout this garden there were little houses that were designed to represent different fairy tales:

Rotkäppchen = Little Red Riding Hood
Rotkäppchen = Little Red Riding Hood

Rumplestilskin

David and Goliath

Aschenputtel = Cinderella

Schneewittchen = Snow White

Overall, it was a big, fun, and pumpkin filled day! Tune in on Wednesday where I spoil my readers with pictures of my dog!

Bis Mittwoch!
