US vs German Constitution

Today we’re going to talk about the US Constitution as well as its German counterpart: Grundgesetz or Basic Law.

When I took my “life in Germany” test in order to qualify for permanent residency, some of the questions concerning the German Grundgsetz looked very familiar to the amendments of the US Constitution. They were familiar enough that I passed those questions and then didn’t think much of it after that until a subscriber asked if I could make a comparison.

I thought that was an awesome idea and here we are.
