Today we’re going to talk about languages and the old adage: use it or lose it. In this case, it’s about my Spanish.

If you’re new to this channel – How you doing? I am a Peruvian-American living in Germany. I am the rare breed of trilingual Americans…that’s right. I am fluent in three languages, but I have studied up to five. I grew up speaking English and Spanish, I studied German, Spanish, French, and Russian in college, and I do have a Spanish degree, but now I live in Germany where I mostly speak Deutsch, English, Denglisch, or random words of our regional dialect of Hohenlohisch.

Phew! That’s a lot! You gotta wonder where Spanish fits in all this. We’re gonna get to that.
